REGULATIONS ON JURY OF FESTIVAL
OF PSYCHOTHERAPY AND PRACTICAL PSYCHOLOGY “CHRISTMAS-TIDE MEETINGS”



1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.1. These regulations will determine the procedure of forming and work, as well as the task and functions of Jury of Christmas-Tide Meetings

1.2. Board of Directors will approve or amend these regulations (if required) on an annual basis

1.3. Jury of Christmas-Tide Meetings will be constituted in order to select, evaluate, and present at the final meeting those participants of Christmas-Tide Meetings who have delivered most remarkable presentations in the professional nominations of the Festival

1.4. Members of Jury (except for a 5th member) will be assigned by Coordinator of Jury and approved by Board of Directors of the Festival on annual basis

1.5. The number of members of Jury should be an odd number (5), selected following the criteria enumerated below:

(1) Master or Honorary Master of Christmas-Tide Meetings - Chairperson

(2) Secretary or another representative of Jury of the previous year - Secretary

(3) Representative of the Title Organisation

(4) Winner in the nomination “Healthiest Person” of Christmas-Tide Meetings of the previous year

(5) Authoritative representative of Christmas-Tide Meetings elected by majority of votes at the first Jury meeting

- Jury will not include specialists who participate in the Festival for the first time

- Participants of Christmas-Tide Meetings who have been elected members of Jury at least twice already will not be allowed to be elected new Jury members, except for the candidate elected for Jury following Clause 1.5.(5).)

1.6. Changes in Jury are allowed in case of a Jury member’s failure to appear at the Festival. Should this be the case a substitute will be elected pursuant of the criteria enumerated in Clause 1.5.

2. WORK PROCEDURE OF JURY

2.1. Meetings of Jury will be held during the Festival at least one time a day

2.2. A 5th member of Jury is to be elected at the first meeting

2.3. During meetings of Jury no other persons except for Coordinator of Jury and the interpreters assigned will be present in meeting room. Principles of confidentiality are to be observed during the work of Jury

2.4. Decisions of Jury will adopted by simple majority of votes, according to the procedure adopted by Jury. Should the number of members of Jury at a meeting be even, Chairperson will hold two votes when voting

2.5. During meetings Jury will arrange work on selecting nominees for the following nominations: Best Client of Christmas-Tide Meetings, Healthiest Person of Christmas-Tide Meetings, Christmas-Tide Meetings Scum, Team of Christmas-Tide Meetings, as well as Jury will develop the criteria for judgment, and will adopt decisions concerning winners

2.6. When adopting decisions concerning winners in professional nominations, the decision of Jury will be based on the results of vote of Christmas-Tide Academy. Should the votes be split I equally or should any other moot point arise, the final decision about winners in professional nominations will be made by Jury

2.7. When selecting the winner in the nomination The Christmas-Tide Soul Jury will have their decision based on the results of vote of participants of Christmas-Tide Meetings

2.8. Jury will develop the final report including explanation of the decisions adopted by Jury concerning all the nominees. The form of presenting the report will be decided upon by Jury and discussed with Coordinator of the Entertainment Programme

2.8. Coordinator of Jury will provide Jury with all the information on the nominees and the Festival that may be required

2.9. Secretary of Jury will develop a written report on the results of the Contest and will present it to Board of Directors of Christmas-Tide Meetings before one month’s term after the end of the Festival

2.10. When adopting decisions Jury will follow professional code and code of ethics

Pursuant to Clause 1.2, Board of Directors have introduced the following amendments into Regulations on Jury–2004.

One more member, being an authoritative specialist of mental health sphere, has been invited into Jury. This decision has been adopted, as this year – for the first time – a foreign guest will part of Jury. Given this, in order to ensure effective work of Jury, it has been decided that a colleague and compatriot of the person mentioned should be introduced into Jury. Board of Directors of Christmas-Tide Meetings sincerely apologise for any potential complications in the work of Jury that may arise due to the decision described.
